Description:
Shot as a silent film and later added sound to, this film marked the beginning of an ascending phase for Italian cinema. A poor and desprate couple try their luck at a casino after finding a wallet full of money. After a few misadventures, they become disillusioned with the idea of living the high life and go back to a more humble but 'genuine' life, of which they can now share the values.
