Description:
This 1935 drama film addresses the theme of Italian emigration, specifically of all the poor Italians who left their country with a 'red passport' between 1890 and 1922; with the advent of Fascism, this drain stopped. It tells the story of a man emigrating to South America to work in railway construction; his daughter marries an Italian doctor and their son decides to return to Italy to fight in WW1.
